As we wish Happy Independence Day this year, are we really happy! I am afraid I am not. Rather I join the anger of the doctors protesting on streets across the nation for what happened to the young lady doctor at RG Kar Government hospital in Kolkata on the night of August 9. Another horrific […]
The dynamics of a Bangladesh upside down
India’s neighborhood presently is rather fragmented. After Afghanistan and Sri Lanka, Bangladesh is the third neighbor witnessing a regime change ridden with violence and unrest, with similar playbook. A popular uprising against an unpopular leader, followed by his/her fleeing, mobs taking over the Palace/Parliament spaces, loot, vandalize and destroy public property, with security forces no […]
The churn in Indian Politics
There have always been times in history when politics has been seen standing at vantage points. Elections 2024 was one of them. Interestingly the maths in Parliament and Indian politics had an element of paradox. The descendence of Modi and BJP with a near half way majority of 240 seats in Lok Sabha and the ascendence of Rahul Gandhi and Congress with 99 seats, up from its lowest number a decade back, was hope inducing. The last 10 years, Modi ruled as a despot with socialist narrative and a capitalist approach. Everything was Modified. Schemes, government programmes, media, even Stadiums.

The murky road to Election 2024, full 10 years
The verdict of 2024 election by the people of our great country was a one that will be remembered in history for reasons that were born from a decade of experiments, misadventures, lies, polarization, selling false promises and reducing a whole nation to becoming a nation of one man worship to the level of insanity […]

When the Prime Minister of the country starts spewing hate speeches in his rallies, when he talks of mangal sutras in danger and household cash being distributed to infiltrators, (god knows where he has got it from), when he starts giving selective interviews to media outlets (ref to not a single Press Conference in 10 […]
